Across Belgium: "The Week of the Digital Radio"

For the first time, one single campaign will promote DAB+ digital radio in Belgium. This represents a major step coming together in the same digital radio direction, to create awareness in Belgium, and driving traffic towards retail at the same time.
The campaign is launched together on 6 October, and runs for 14 days.
It is a collaboration between maRadio, Digitale Radio Vlaanderen and the biggest retailers in the country: Mediamarkt, Krefel, Vandenborre, Selection, Expert and Exellence. They will have more than 500 devices in total, with a reduction of 15% for the customer, removing barriers to buy a digital radio device. While the focus is on DAB+ receivers, some of the devices also have internet access.
A toolbox has been created for the retailers to use to communicate on their channels: digital and in-store. They will have a promobox on their website, and redirect from there to our website digitaleradio.be (Flemish) or ecoutezvosoreilles.be (French).
Every customer can upload his receipt on the websites. By answering some questions, the customer participates in the contest where he can win a major price: for 2000 euro he can go to music concerts from his choice. That way we link radio listening to music lovers, one of the main drivers for people to listen to radio.
All the members from maRadio and Digital Radio Vlaanderen have agreed to broadcast the radio commercials, alongside a big communication plan via website & social. Because the public and commercial and local broadcasters have engaged to broadcast the radio spots, a huge effect on “top of mind” for digital radio listening/usage is expected, with also big traffic towards the retailer stores or online, to grow the digital radio audience.
